MFA candidates are encouraged to develop individually and no one style, method, material or philosophy is emphasized.
The full-time student should expect to spend a minimum of three academic years in residency to complete the degree. The program is based on the individual’s area of interest and undergraduate training and is jointly planned by the student, a committee of the graduate faculty, and a professor who serves as advisor to the student in the principal studio area. The MFA Degree requires a total of 60 credit hours.
Sculpture alumni have gone on to pursue successful careers as artists, museum and business professionals and educators in numerous colleges and universities throughout the country (Laumeier Sculpture Park & Museum, Kentucky State University, Emory & Henry University, Linfield College, Webster University, Saint Louis University, Louisiana State University and Principia College).
